Server Cloning

Using the cloning option, you can quickly create a copy of a cloud server. Cloning will create a server with the same parameters (processor, memory, disk size), as well as copy all the data.

Before cloning, make sure that:

• The server is turned on.

• There is no server snapshot. If the snapshot is created, you will need to delete it before cloning the server.

• You have enough funds in the account balance to pay for the new server. 

To start the process, click on the copy icon on the server page:

Cloning will only take a few minutes.

After completing the process, you can immediately start working with the new server. You can find the new server IP address as well as the login and password in the new server’s Dashboard. 

Please note that the new server will have a different IP address. Therefore, you may need to update some internal server settings as they will be copied "as is". For example, if a static IP was configured on the previous server, this setting will be transferred to the new server with the same (old) IP address.
