Network Settings

Updated on 28 May 2024

You can manage the server’s network settings in the Network tab.

Private networks

You can add, transfer and remove servers from private networks

To add the server to a private network:

  1. Go to Cloud servers and click on the server.

  2. In the Network tab, click Configure next to Private network.

  3. Select an existing network or the Add network option to create a new one.

  4. Click Transfer.

Moving the server to another network will take some time; normally, moving 10 GB takes about one minute.

During the transfer, the server will be on and then rebooted when the transfer is complete. Total downtime will be 5-10 minutes.

The server’s public IP address may be changed.

To remove the server from the private network:

  1. Go to Cloud servers and click on the server.

  2. In the Network tab, click Configure next to Private network.

  3. Click Exclude from private network and confirm.

Traffic routing rules

If the server is added to a VPC, you can manage the traffic routing rules.

  1. Go to Cloud servers and click on the server.

  2. In the Network tab, click Configure next to Traffic routing rules (NAT).
