Reinstall Operating System

Whenever necessary, you can easily reinstall your server's operating system using the tools in your Hostman dashboard.

The backups in the dashboard will not be deleted. Reinstalling will not affect the private network settings.

To reinstall the operating system:

  1. Go to the Plan tab and click Reinstall.

  1. Select which software to install: 

    • a clean operating system,

    • a pre-configured image with a specific application from the Marketplace tab,

    • a custom image that can be chosen or uploaded in the Custom image tab.

  1. (Optional) In the Authorization section can select an SSH key from those saved in the dashboard or add a new one.
  2. Add a cloud-init script if necessary.
  3. Click Reinstall.
  4. Confirm the deletion of all disk data, after which the system will be reinstalled.
