Server Cloning
Using the cloning option, you can quickly create a copy of a cloud server. Cloning will create a server with the same parameters (processor, memory, disk size), as well as copy all the data.
Cloning does not affect the original server's operation in any way.
Before cloning, make sure that:
- The server is on.
- There is no server snapshot. If the snapshot is created, you will need to delete it before cloning the server.
- You have enough funds in the account balance to pay for the new server.
To clone a server:
- Go to the Cloud servers section and click on the server you want to clone.
- Click on the copy icon on the server page:

- Set up network parameters for the new server:
-
- Specify whether the server requires a public IP address. You can create a new IP, select one of the existing IP addresses, or choose No externel IP.
- Specify whether to add the server to a private network. You can create a new network, select an existing one, or choose Without a private network.
- If necessary, specify a custom server name and add a comment.
- Click Clone.

Cloning will only take a few minutes.
After completing the process, you can immediately start working with the new server. You can find the new server IP address as well as the login and password in the new server’s Dashboard.
Please note that the new server will have a different IP address. Therefore, you may need to update some internal server settings as they will be copied "as is". For example, if a static IP was configured on the previous server, this setting will be transferred to the new server with the same (old) IP address. In this case, you will need to reconfigure using this guide.
