Using S3 storage in Nextcloud as external storage allows you to store files in the cloud and access them quickly. This integration reduces the risk of data loss and decreases the load on your local server.
This guide explains how to set up an S3 storage connection in Nextcloud.
Log in to Nextcloud as an administrator.
Enable external storage support:
Navigate to the Apps section, then to the Your Apps tab.
Find the extension External storage support in the list and enable it by clicking the Enable button.
Configure the S3 connection:
Go to Server Settings and select the External Storage tab.
In the Add Storage column, choose Amazon S3. In the Authentication field, select Access Key.
Fill out the configuration settings:
Cluster: s3.hostman.com

Bucket: Enter the name of your S3 bucket.
Host Name: s3.hostman.com
Port: Leave this field empty.

Leave other parameters at their default values.
Set user access:
In the Available For column, choose the desired users or groups, or select All Users.
