Manage Storage

Updated on 29 October 2024

Data in S3 storage is kept in a unified format: as objects stored in buckets (containers).

  • Objects are your files and data in any format. A bucket is the storage location for these objects. To place a file in S3 storage, it must be uploaded into a bucket.

  • Buckets can be either private or public, with different access methods. Only authorized users (administrators) can access objects in a private container.

  • There is a single storage user who has full rights to access all of their buckets. The Access Key and Secret Access Key are the same across different buckets within one account.
