Manage DNS Records

If your domain is pointed to the Hostman nameservers, you can manage the domain's DNS records in the Hostman dashboard.

DNS Editor

To open the DNS editor:

  1. Go to the Domains and SSL section.
  2. Click on the cog icon.

Here you can manage the DNS records of your domain.

Edit a DNS Record

To edit an existing record, click on it, make your changes, and save.

Add a New DNS Record

To add a new record, click on Add DNS record, select the record type, add the values, and save.

Delete a DNS Record

To delete a DNS record, click on three dots and click Delete. Confirm deleting the record.

Usage Example

For example, to update the A record of your domain:

  1. Go to the Domains and SSL section.
  2. Click on the cog icon next to the domain.
  3. Find the A record in the list and click on it.
  4. Provide a new IP address for the A record by either selecting the service on your Hostman account or entering the required IP manually.

Arecord

  1. Click Save.

Usually, updating the A record will take up to 3 hours; in rare cases, in can be up to 24 hours.
