Deploy a Fiber App

You can find the step-by-step deployment guide here.

Application Build

Hostman builds your app in the following environment:

  • Go: versions 1.25, 1.24, 1.23, and 1.22.1 are available when you create an app.
  • Go Modules: used to manage dependencies.

By default, Hostman downloads dependencies with Go Modules based on your go.mod file. It then builds your app with this command:

go build -o main .

The command compiles the package in the current directory into an executable named main.

The default start command is:

./main

  • Make sure the build directory contains a go.mod file that lists Fiber and your other dependencies.
  • Make sure the build directory contains a main package with a main() function that starts your server.
  • Make sure your app listens on 0.0.0.0, not 127.0.0.1. Otherwise, external connections won't work.
