Deploy an Echo App

You can find the step-by-step deployment guide here.

Application Build

Hostman uses the following environment to build an Echo application:

  • Go 1.22.1, 1.23, 1.24, or 1.25 (you can choose the version when creating the app)
  • Go Modules

By default, Hostman downloads dependencies with Go Modules based on your go.mod file. It then builds the application with the following command:

go build -o main .

This command compiles the package in the current directory into an executable named main.

The default start command is:

./main

Requirements

  • Make sure the build directory contains a go.mod file that lists Echo and all other dependencies your project needs.
  • Make sure the build directory contains a main package with a main() function that starts the application server.
  • Make sure the application listens on 0.0.0.0 rather than 127.0.0.1; otherwise, external connections will not work.
