How Wrizy Saved 90% on Hosting with Hostman

Wrizy Development (wrizy.co) is a software development company specializing in automation tools, web design, SEO optimization, and online marketing. The company offers exclusively custom-tailored solutions. Wrizy Development optimizes and automates processes using its own AI tools, allowing clients to focus on growing their businesses rather than solving technical challenges. Hostman helped us improve our profitability. We were slowly growing out of control due to resource demands, and the constant change of pricing without notice from GoDaddy and Cloud Hosting. Hostman saved us roughly 90% on our hosting services. We went from an average of $2,200 a month to $220 a month.   Cody WrightCEO & Co-founder of Wrizy Development Over 20 Years of Development Experience The founder of Wrizy Development, Cody Wright, has been professionally developing software for over 20 years across various industries—real estate, insurance, and government. Key focus areas include custom software development, business process automation, UI/UX design, and SEO promotion. To solve their clients' business challenges, Wrizy Development creates millions of SEO-optimized content pages. Such large-scale operations are made possible with AI tools. This kind of automation reduces time-to-market from several months to just a few hours. In the five years since its founding, the company has created around 30 million SEO pages and over 5,000 websites for thousands of clients—from dog breeders to real estate agents. And according to Cody, this is just the beginning. "We build. So you can grow."—that’s Wrizy Development’s motto. Automation Tools Require Cloud Capacity Wrizy Development serves over 1,600 clients. For SEO purposes, the company generates up to 30,000 pages daily—about a quarter million per week. And most likely, the company will continue scaling up. Naturally, AI-powered automation tools require significant computing power, typically provided by cloud providers. Additionally, many of the company’s websites use WordPress as their primary CMS. These require a large number of servers, domains, and SSL certificates with convenient centralized management. First Google Cloud, Then AWS, Then GoDaddy—None Worked Initially, Wrizy Development’s tools ran on Google Cloud servers. However, the maintenance costs turned out to be unreasonably high for a small company—the first month alone racked up around $2200. That was nearly equal to the revenue earned in the same period.  Due to its scale, Google Cloud isn’t very small-business-friendly. Payments continue even during idle periods—over time, this leads to significant expenses. It was their first test run using the cloud for a month, and it spiraled out of control. That is what led them down the path of VPS hosting. After three months, Wrizy Development switched to AWS. While they managed to achieve a slight cost reduction, it came at the price of major technical limitations—AWS Lambda doesn’t allow the use of NPM packages exceeding 250 MB in total size. A major setback for automation tools. Overall, Amazon’s cloud proved to be a questionable alternative to Google—at least for Wrizy’s needs. After AWS came GoDaddy’s VPS hosting. However, the provider’s once-reliable servers gradually turned into a digital "Bermuda Triangle," where data would frequently disappear. First, GoDaddy kept raising prices, then completely disabled backups without notifying anyone. Wrizy Development only learned about the total data loss during a major outage. After that, staying with GoDaddy was no longer an option. Wrizy Development needed a provider that could offer stability, control, and fair pricing. Hostman Delivered What Others Couldn’t Cody Wright discovered Hostman while browsing DailyDev, a developer-focused website, and decided to give it a try. According to Cody, most online articles focus on major cloud providers like Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and AWS. That’s why platforms like DailyDev, TechSpot, and Ars Technica are great for discovering new cloud providers—Hostman being one of them. User-Friendly Dashboard and Favorable Terms Despite its extensive feature set, Hostman’s user interface was simple and intuitive, and the pricing seemed very reasonable. Compared to Hostman, GoDaddy’s dashboard was cluttered with random (and often spammy) upsell prompts—confusing for users who aren’t sure what they need. Meanwhile, AWS and Google Cloud appear overly complex for small and mid-sized businesses. The entry barrier is higher, and their use isn’t always justified. Hostman’s offer seemed too good to be true. But the concerns turned out to be unfounded. Responsive Support After a month of use, Hostman’s marketing manager, Michelle Olari, reached out to Cody Wright via LinkedIn to discuss his experience with Hostman. From then on, collaboration with support only strengthened, and any arising issues were promptly resolved. Server Cost Savings After switching to Hostman, the company significantly increased the profitability of its tools, reducing computing costs by 90%. The average cloud server expense dropped from $2,200 to $220 per month, and the payment process was more convenient and faster than with other providers. Fair pricing, stable performance, and ease of use—these are the reasons Cody Wright, CEO of Wrizy Development, chose Hostman. Migration and Scaling with Hostman Some of Wrizy Development’s major projects still run on Google Cloud servers—migrating large JavaScript and CSS builds takes time. However, the migration continues—Wrizy Development is gradually moving its tools to Hostman’s servers. This includes internal accounting and e-commerce applications, as well as core automation tools used for client solutions. In the near future, the company will deploy dozens more servers in Hostman’s cloud infrastructure, finally settling into a comfortable cloud home.
