Previously, we used to send the root password to your email right after the server was created. If you happened to forget the password and deleted the email, you had to contact support to have it restored. Now, you can simply copy the password directly from the control panel: from the server Dashboard or the Access tab. And we no longer send passwords by email which enhances security.
A couple of important things to note:
- To enable this feature on an existing server, you'll need to reinstall the OS or reset the password. It's crucial to do this through the control panel, not the server's OS.
- Resetting the password is quick and easy: Access → Change → Change Password. It just takes a few seconds.
Additionally:
- When you create a server using software from the Marketplace, the root password will be displayed on the dashboard, but the software details will still be sent to your email.
