Cloud Databases

Cloud database, or Database as a Service (DBaaS), is a cloud-based solution for storing and managing structured data. DBaaS provides a fully automated, flexible and scalable database platform.

When using cloud databases, you do not need to install and maintain hardware, configure software, or administer complex storage facilities. 

To start working with the database, simply create the service in your Hostman control panel, and a database cluster will be created for you from cloud resources with the specified parameters. 

You can work with the database as usual: connect to it, add, edit and delete data, and so on.

A database cluster is one or several virtual machines on which database servers are deployed. If there are several virtual machines, one of them is the master server, and the rest are replicas in exactly the same configuration, which provide fault tolerance.

At the moment, we provide database clusters consisting of one server of the selected configuration. Within a cluster, you can create multiple databases and users for them.

Replication will be implemented later in 2024.
