Two Big Updates in Server Images

We keep working on the Images section. Now, you can upload your own images and reinstall a server from an image.

Image uploading

You can upload your own images from a third-party source via a link or from your computer. And you can start uploading both from the "Images" section and from the server creation page.

The following image formats are supported: vmdk, vhd, vhdx, vdi, raw, img and qcow2. The iso format will be added a bit later due to some technical aspects to it.

Reinstalling a server from an image

If previously you could only create new servers from an image, now you can also reinstall them. It works both for downloaded images and for images created in our control panel.

What's next

We'll add an internal page for each image, as well as the ability to mount images to a server.
