Metabase

Metabase supports various data sources, integrates easily with popular databases, and offers diverse tools for filtering, grouping, and analyzing data. Thanks to its intuitive interface, you can query databases, create charts, and generate dashboards without requiring advanced technical skills or SQL knowledge.

Metabase is free and open-source (you can check its GitHub here) while also providing paid Pro and Enterprise plans with extensive features. 

Software

Your Metabase instance will be deployed in a Docker container. 

When you select the Metabase image in the Hostman Marketplace, we will install the following components on your server:

Getting Started

To deploy your self-hosted Metabase instance:

1. Start creating a new Hostman server or reinstalling an existing one and select Marketplace → Metabase.

2. Select server parameters. According to the official documentation, you will need 1 GB RAM and 1 CPU core for the basic operation of Metabase, as well as additional 2 GB RAM and 1 CPU core for every 20 concurrent users. Consider these recommendations when choosing the parameters.

3. Finish creating your server.

The server installation and setup can take a few minutes. When the server status changes to online, visit your server’s IP address in the browser to configure your Metabase instance and start working with data.
