You can update the Kubernetes version in cluster settings. You can only select a newer version; rolling back to one of the older version isn't possible.

> [!NOTE]
> Changing the version might cause performance issues in the cluster. We recommend doing this during a time when the project has the least activity.

You can either start the update immediately or schedule it for a specific time that works best for you.

## Immediate Update

Use this option if you want the update to start right away.

1.  Go to the **Kubernetes** section and click on the cluster.
    
2.  In the **Management** tab, click **Update version**.

3.  Select the desired Kubernetes version.
    
4.  Leave the **Immediately** option selected.
    
5.  Click **Change**.

The update will start as soon as you confirm the action.

## Scheduled Update

1.  Go to the **Kuberntes** section and click on the cluster.
2.  In the **Management** tab, click **Update version**.

3.  Select the desired Kubernetes version.
4.  Choose the **At a given time** option.
5.  Specify the preferred date and time.
6.  Click **Schedule.**

The update will start automatically at the scheduled time.

## Canceling a Scheduled Update

If the scheduled update is no longer needed, you can cancel it before it starts.

1.  Go to the **Kubernetes** section and click on the cluster.
    
2.  In the **Management** tab, click **Update version**.
    
3.  Click the cancel (**×**) icon next to the scheduled update.

The scheduled update will be removed and will not be executed.
