To perform certain operations on the [cloud server](https://hostman.com/cloud-server/), such as resetting the root password from within the OS or partitioning the disk, you will need to boot the OS in a specific mode. 

To change the system boot mode:

1.  Go to **Cloud Servers** and click on the server.
    
2.  In the **Access** tab, click **Change** next to **OS boot mode**:

3.  Select the boot mode and click **Save and Reboot**.
