[Cloud servers](https://hostman.com/cloud-server/) are a way to host your data where you get full control over a virtual server, including **root access** and all system settings. You can scale server resources up or down as needed: add capacity (CPU, memory, and storage) when traffic grows and reduce it (CPU and memory) when the load drops. The server cost adjusts accordingly.

To deliver reliable performance, we use modern hardware, fast **NVMe storage**, and high-performance processors.

> [!NOTE]
> The CPU frequency you may see in server console benchmarks does not reflect the processor’s actual performance. The virtualization layer reports the **base clock speed** and does not account for **Turbo Boost**.
>
> In practice, the platform’s CPUs always run with Turbo Boost enabled, ensuring the performance level specified in your plan.
