You can find the step-by-step deployment guide [here](https://hostman.com/docs/app-platform/backend-apps/).

## Application Build

Hostman builds your app in the following environment:

-   **Java**: versions 8, 11, 17, 18, 19, 21, and 25 are available when you create an app.
- **Maven**: used to build your app and manage dependencies.

By default, App Platform builds your app with this command:

```shell
mvn clean package
```

The default start command is:

```shell
java -jar app.jar
```

## Requirements

- Make sure your project has a `pom.xml` file with the correct Micronaut dependencies and build settings.
- Make sure the Java version you select is compatible with your project and your version of Micronaut.
- Make sure your app listens on `0.0.0.0`, not `127.0.0.1`. Otherwise, external connections won't work.
